Sometimes you need to capture a screenshot, which is easy to do. Here is how to take a screenshot on a Dell laptop computer or PC.

QUICK ANSWER
To capture the whole screen, press the Windows key + PrntScrn simultaneously to save a screenshot to your Pictures > Screenshots folder.
To screenshot one window, press Alt + PrntScrn simultaneously to send it to your clipboard. To permanently save it, open a program like Paint and paste it there, then save the document.
