We sat down with Chloe to learn more about her story, and how she used Instagram Reels to elevate her social media presence, and strategy and drive engagement.

“When I first started my business 5 years ago, I was doing everything by hand, batching captions in a Google Doc, and setting alarms to remind me to post. I eventually found Hootsuite but it just wasn’t for me. I don’t even remember how I stumbled across Plann, but I’m SO glad I did! it gave me hours of my life back.
I’ve been using Plann for at least 3 years and have used it for not only my business account for coaching but also for my podcast page! I love being able to batch captions, strategize before posting, and even take the guesswork out of which hashtags to use.”

“I’ve used 80% Reels content in this quarter of my business. I’ll admit that even not knowing the most effective way to save my Reel with audio to auto post, I still use Plann in the process – I record my reel but I’ll save my caption using a placeholder and plug it in when I need it! This way I can still strategize my feed accordingly but be more flexible with the type of Reels content I put out since the trending sounds change so quickly.”

“For high-quality reels, I honestly keep it pretty simple at this point. I like to use the effects in the Instagram app, so I make sure I always wipe my camera first, pop my phone on the stand, and turn on my ring light so I get the best quality possible. If I were to give one piece of advice, strategy is great but what really lands with the audience is authenticity. 
Make sure it’s engaging, fun, and really highlights YOUR personality, not just what you think your audience wants to see.” 
“I’m loving the new EasyLink feature! But I think my longest-running favorite has got to be the simplicity of the visual grid. being able to move your posts around to make them not only look good but to help your strategy flow is perfection.
I probably only use 20% of all the features on the app and still get a lot out of it. As a full-time mom, business owner, and pursuer of dreams, this helps me cut down on time thinking about what to post, when to post, and everything in between. When I’m in a creative block, the prompts really help to jog my creativity a bit too! There’s something here for everyone.”

“I have found that my biggest growth periods always happen when I’m in my ‘authentic flow’ as I call it. Being real with my audience about my own struggles and bringing it back to them. Authenticity is my #1 tip when it comes to social media growth! I truly don’t make the fanciest content, I am just honest, and it works for my brand!
Whatever your brand, staying true to the heart of your brand’s purpose is key! In terms of a more practical strategy, aim for consistency, whatever that looks like for you. Posting multiple times a day isn’t for everyone, so stick with quality over quantity but do it regularly!”
